Pigeon Cove Shoreline
The most ambitious project that the Lawson’s undertook was the building of the sea wall along the shore of Pigeon Cove in front of their cottage. The Dredging firm of McKissac Company from Chicago engineered this feet of great magnitude, by building coffer dams and continually pumping the water out so workers could lay up the boulder wall. It was reported that the cost of this was was $35,000.
