Vintage Photo Album from eBay

A collector friend spotted an interesting item on eBay. It was a family photo album with a few pictures of Green Lake, and a nice collection of postcards of the Grotto at Dickeyville Catholic Church. The image that caught our attention was of the interior of one of the buildings at Camp Robinhood. It looks like this picture was taken during lunch. If I had to guess I would have to say it was from the 1940’s or 1950’s.
More pictures of Camp Robinhood can be found here.
The “Queen of the Lake” sign hanging near the ceiling must have been saved from the tour boat when it was scrapped.
We have a 1913 postcard showing the sign still in use on the front of the Queen here.
If you look towards the back of the room, you can see one of Green Lake’s famous lake trout mounted over the kitchen counter.

There was also a selection of small photos of assorted areas of the lake. These were part of a souvenir photo pack. The last couple of photos are of the Lawsonia and Sugarloaf area. I like the last two, as they were hand-colored to look more natural.

This image was not in the album. Diane sent me this image so I could add it to this page.
