South Lawson Drive

South Lawson Drive

I have added the images and information about South Lawson Drive. The cards showing the resorts and hotels along South Lawson Drive will be added later.

This road originally ended at about Forest Avenue. Victor Lawson built an extension from his farm to the C&NW depot on the north side of town. The construction started in 1912 and was completed in 1914. When it was completed it was deeded to the State of Wisconsin and became the original State Highway 23. Until Highway 23 was realigned in 1967, all highway traffic ran right through town.

If you see any mistakes, hang tight. I am working on getting the contact forms thing figured out.
