Jessie Lawson's Rest House
The Lawson’s built the Rest House in 1910, inspired by Tuscan architecture they saw in Italy. The area was cleared to provide views of Norwegian Bay and paths led to a picnic area by the shore. The Rest House served as a clubhouse for the Lawson’s Golf Course and later the Lawsonia Country Club until a new course was built.

The Tea House is still in use today. It is in incredibly good condition for it s age, and hosts many events and can be rented for private events by contacting the GLCC Guest Services.

This is an early view of the tea house. Jessie Lawson built it as a rest house when Victor’s 9 hole golf course was located on the west end of the property.
